Surviving are his parents of Duncansville; two brothers, Shawn Helsel (Donna) and Dennis M. Helsel; a granddaughter, Shayna Helsel; and a nephew, Tyler Helsel.

Brent graduated in 1980 from Hollidaysburg High School.

He began working at an early age for his father at Yingling’s Garage, pumping gas and checking oil, and later worked for his uncle as a mechanic. In 1988, he began working with his father and brother in the family construction business.

Brent loved working on cars and was very meticulous. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and local races and spending time with his niece and nephew while they were growing up. Brent enjoyed talking to people and had many friends. He was loved by all.

Services will be private.
