Kevin De Bruyne casts doubt on Man City’s future as Liverpool watch

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has suggested he could be open to moving to Saudi Arabia in the future.

De Bruyne, who turns 33 this summer, made 382 appearances in nine years at City, winning six Premier League titles and a Champions League. However, his contract at the Etihad expires in 2025, meaning this summer could be City’s last chance to secure a hefty fee for the Belgian, who is yet to agree a new deal.

And now he has opened the door to a move to Saudi Arabia, admitting he should consider the “incredible sums” on offer in the Middle East as he enters the final years of his career.

“At my age you have to be open to everything,” he told Het Laatste Nieuws. “You are talking about incredible amounts in what could be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about it.

“If I play there for two years, I can earn an incredible amount. I had to play football for 15 years before that. I may not even get that amount yet.

“Then you have to think about what that might mean next. But at this point I haven’t had to think about it yet.”
