Coventry City are unlikely to pay Huddersfield Town’s Jack Rudoni

Coventry City are “not prepared” to splash out big money for Huddersfield Town’s Jack Rudoni and are “unlikely” to pay the £10m price tag that has been quoted, as detailed in a report by CoventryLive.

Coventry City have been linked with a move for the attacking midfielder this summer. According to reporter Alan Nixon on Patreon, they are admirers of the Londoner ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Rudoni, 22, faces an uncertain future at the John Smith’s Stadium following the Terriers’ relegation to League One from the Championship. They finished in the bottom three last season, alongside Rotherham United and Birmingham City.

The Sky Blues are said to be keen on one of their most prized assets as they plot signings over the next two months. However, in this latest CoventryLive update, they are not expected to meet the reported rating.

Who is this?

THE QUIZ STARTS!

Rudoni suits up for Coventry City and would be ideal for Mark Robins’ side.

They are preparing for another year in the second tier after missing out on the play-offs last campaign and would inject more quality into their ranks.

However, the Sky Blues won’t want to break the bank to get him and the money saved from not signing him is likely to bring in other targets in his position.

Rudoni is under contract at Huddersfield Town until 2026, meaning they are under no pressure to sell him anytime soon and can wait for the right offer to come along.

He started his career in the Crystal Palace academy before joining AFC Wimbledon in 2011.

The forward then rose through the Dons’ youth ranks and had loan spells at non-league Corinthian Casuals and Tonbridge Angels to get some experience under his belt.

Rudoni then broke into their first team and went on to make 106 appearances in all competitions, scoring 17 goals.

Huddersfield Town lured him to Yorkshire in 2022 and he has been a key player for them ever since.

He has scored seven goals in 83 games for the Terriers so far, five of which have come in the last term.

Coventry City apparently want him now, but they may come at a price.
