Manchester United’s Omari Forson was expected to leave after rejecting his latest contract offer

Omari Forson is expected to leave Manchester United this summer after failing to agree a contract renewal.

The 19-year-old made his first-team debut for United in the FA Cup third-round win at Wigan Athletic in January and made his first Premier League appearance as a substitute against Wolves on February 1 when he provided the assist for Kobbie Mainoo. late winner

The winger made his first start for Erik ten Hag’s side in the league defeat at home to Fulham – selected ahead of Amad and Antony – and played in seven games in the second half of the campaign.

Forson’s contract at Old Trafford expires on June 30 and there has been no progress on his renewal, with him now expected to leave.

Forson joined United in January 2019 from Tottenham Hotspur and rose through the ranks of the club’s youth teams, featuring in the 2022 FA Youth Cup Under-18 winning side – alongside current first-team stars Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.

Forson is a versatile attacking player who has primarily played as either an attacking midfielder or a wide midfielder in United’s youth teams.
