An investigation is underway after an 8-year-old boy was injured in a Bradford park.

Police say he was taken to hospital after being hit by a blue moped in Horton Park.

The boy was left with a serious head wound.

Police say the rider left the scene.

A police spokesman said:

“Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a collision in Bradford which left a boy with a serious head injury.

“The eight-year-old was taken to hospital following a collision with a blue moped in Horton Park at around 7.15pm last Thursday (May 30).

“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“The rider of the moped, who was said to be wearing a balaclava, did not stop following the collision and exited the park onto Horton Park Avenue.”
