I turned my childhood passion for cooking into becoming one of the UK’s top celebrity chefs – now I want to support the local Edmonton community.

I’ve been able to offer my services to quite a few high-profile individuals, including two-time world boxing champion Anthony Joshua, Dragon’s Den star Peter Jones, Premier League footballer Raheem Sterling and American rapper Bobby Shmurda, plus many more.

I had ten years of professional experience in real estate before making the decision last year to venture into cooking. I am very passionate about making a difference in the local community and inspiring a new generation; I offer cooking workshops and mentoring services to local schools, colleges and youth centers and have also donated my services to many charities including Shelter and Passage.

I grew up in North London, live in Edmonton and go to school in Tottenham. I realized there was a lack of support to push me in the right direction or maybe I just didn’t know where to look. But now I’m looking to support local charities, youth centers and schools to deliver life skills workshops.

I’m currently working with a few charities on different projects in Edmonton this summer to teach kids about cooking, budgeting and also developing a business. While it’s nice to work with all the big names and charities in central London, I’m more interested in bringing my services to my local area, which means more to me.

Where I came from, there wasn’t a lot of support in reaching my goals in cooking, and it left me going through jobs where I didn’t feel like or able to fulfill my purpose. Almost 16 years since I got kicked out of college, I am now able to live my dream of cooking.

Working with the people I do now is a feeling I can’t explain. Making a difference in these kids’ lives and helping them learn new skills and push them to become entrepreneurs is something I wish I could be around when I grow up.

I want to give a chance to the new generation in the area by giving them the support they need and getting them to be creative with food. I also focus on educating young people about the importance of budgeting and also understanding the process of running a business.

I feel like when kids see me and understand my story, I’m able to build a connection with them as someone they can relate to, and it makes it easier to pass on information and build a platform of communication. I understand them, and they understand me.

If there are any local schools, youth centers or charities who are interested in working with me on any future projects, please contact me. I’d love to be more involved in local projects, so just get in touch!
