Here’s all the latest Sheffield Wednesday transfer rumors as the Owls prepare for a busy summer transfer window.

The summer transfer window will officially open on June 14, and by then Sheffield Wednesday will be hoping to have a few new signings lined up.

It promises to be a busy summer in S6 for manager Danny Rohl after penning a new three-year deal with the Owls last month.

There are plenty of names to replace in the side and improvements to be made. But fans will be pleased to see that Sheffield Wednesday appear to be active in their summer transfer preparations.

Michael Baidoo loved Sheffield Wednesday

A new name on Sheffield Wednesday’s transfer radar is Michael Baidoo; the 25-year-old Ghanaian midfielder currently plays for Elfsborg in Sweden.

He has started the Allsvenskan 2024 season strongly, with four goals and three assists in 12 league games so far this season.

But he is said to be valued at up to £3.4m, with the likes of Hull City, Luton Town and Middlesbrough also interested.

Cameron Dawson is set to leave Sheffield Wednesday

Long-serving Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Cameron Dawson was out of contract this month and is now tipped to leave the club.

Despite a difficult 2023/24 season in which he lost his starting spot to James Beadle, Dawson has been offered new terms.

But it was recently revealed that he now looks set to leave the club this summer and seek opportunities away from Hillsborough.

Ben Hamer is set to join Sheffield Wednesday

Ben Hamer can replace Dawson at Sheffield Wednesday; the 36-year-old goalkeeper was tipped to join the Owls following his release from Watford.

Hamer, an experienced player, previously worked with Owls assistant coach Chris Powell when he was in charge of Charlton Athletic, with the pair winning promotion to League One in 2012.

James Beadle at Sheffield Wednesday at the latest

With the news that Hamer is set to arrive at Sheffield Wednesday this summer, there was speculation as to whether or not the Owls would pursue another loan deal for Beadle.

But Sheffield Wednesday are still in the race to sign Beadle this summer, with the Sheffield Wednesday News previously revealing that Brighton were set to take him out on loan again this summer.

Josh Windass the latest

Striker Josh Windass is another out of contract this month, but has also been offered a new deal to stay beyond this summer.

He has interest from elsewhere in the Championship, but recent reports have suggested that Sheffield Wednesday are open to further talks with Windass over his future in S6.
