Emmerdale viewers ‘understand’ Samson Dingle’s sinister fate

Emmerdale viewers are convinced Samson Dingle has a sinister twist in store.

In tonight’s episode of the ITV series, Samson happily told his dad Sam Dingle and step-mum Lydia Dingle that he had passed his driving test with no mistakes.

While Sam was happy for his son and rushed him to the pub for a celebratory pint – Lydia was more skeptical, warning the young driver that you should ‘take care’ and that ‘cars are not toys’ .

As viewers of the soap will know, earlier in the week young Dingle revealed that he was planning to drive around Europe in a van during the summer if he got the time – something that had already caused Lydia to worry.

As Samson, his father, and new friend Josh enjoyed a few (too many) celebratory drinks, Samson told his friend that he was disappointed that Lydia hadn’t been happier for him. But Josh told him he should just be “grateful” that he has a step-mum who “takes care of him and treats him like her own”.

A drunken Samson and Sam returned home to a worried Lydia. As Sam went to bed, Samson took his friend’s advice and told Lydia that he was “grateful” for “being such a good mother” to him.

But viewers were left guessing that there was a sinister twist after it was announced that the actor who plays Samson, Sam Hall, would be leaving the soap. During tonight’s episode, viewers took to social media to speculate that the newly qualified driver will soon be killed in a car crash.
