The Met Office says when it could rain in Manchester ahead of the Parklife weekend

The countdown is on until one of the country’s biggest music festivals returns to Heaton Park. Excitement is building for the return of Parklife this weekend.

More than 80,000 people are expected to flock to the North Manchester park on June 8 and 9 to see some of the biggest names in pop and dance music – including Doja Cat, Becky Hill, Peggy Gou, Disclosure and the legends of the years the Sugababes. With two days until the fun starts, festival goers will be planning their amazing outfits for the weekend.




But the weather will keep revelers on their toes as they plan ahead for the next few days. The Met Office forecast tells when rain is expected to fall on Manchester.

Today (June 6) there will be light showers this morning and early afternoon, giving way to a cloudy day with sunny spells before rain from 8pm. Temperatures are expected to reach 15C, with lows of 10C.

Friday’s forecast is for a cloudy morning before light rain in the afternoon, giving way to a dry but cloudy evening. The Met Office is expecting highs of 16C and lows of 11C in Manchester tomorrow.

As Parklife gets underway on Saturday, showers are expected in the late morning and early afternoon before a cloudy evening with a few sunny spells. Festivalgoers may need a sweater for after the shows are over as temperatures are expected to not exceed 14C with lows of 9C.

The Met Office expects a similar outlook for Sunday, with a cloudy start before late morning showers before a cloudy afternoon. Temperatures could reach 15C, with lows of 10C.
