New Prime Hydration drinks are landing in Aldi stores with a $1 million prize

Aldi is launching its latest range of Prime Hydration Drinks – the new Prime X. The limited edition drink is now available in stores.

Shoppers are ready to go wild because of the new exclusive flavor. Some lucky fans will even have the chance to win a $1 million (£782,000) cash prize as part of a global competition to celebrate the launch.

The new line of Prime X flavors is giving fans the chance to take on an interactive ‘Hydrohunt’ challenge. This epic expedition encourages shoppers to collect 12 bottles with unique barcodes to build an in-app map.

Once all 12 are collected, hopefuls can spot where the “X” marks the spot for a chance to win the big cash prize. An Aldi spokesman warned though: “Shoppers best move fast, as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!”

Prime Hydration, which is 10% coconut water, contains electrolytes, B vitamins and BCAAs, has zero sugars and only 20 calories per bottle. Priced at just £1.99 (500ml), the drink, created by KSI and Logan Paul, is available as a Specialbuy.

The drink was officially launched in the UK yesterday (June 5) to much fanfare. According to the Liverpool Echo, an Aldi store in Wirral had to limit purchases to three per customer because so many children were queuing outside to get the drink.

A staff member told the publication: “We had a line of about 60 kids out the door from 7.30am. I made one flavor per customer, so a maximum of three. I lined them all up on homemade straps so they wouldn’t struggle to get them off. the shelves were four cashiers and three bottles for each customer, so they were all gone by 8.05.”
