Carrying out their annual study to find out where people in the UK want to live, Compare the Market revealed that Bradford has proved to be quite a coveted area – with tens of thousands of people searching Google every month for terms related to move, such as “move”. to Bradford’ and ‘where to live in Bradford’.

While it didn’t quite reach the heights of London, which claimed the most ‘wanted’ spot, it made it into the top ten, coming in at number seven on the list and even surpassing current UK hotspot Manchester.

According to the data, London received 36,880 searches per month for moving queries, while Bradford received a surprising 18,010.

While Bradford often gets a lot of stick, the future City of Culture has (and will continue to have) much to offer residents and visitors alike, and is home to some of Yorkshire’s most beautiful destinations – including Haworth and Saltaire.

Bradford is not the only Yorkshire town to benefit from the latter City of Culture designation, which Hull also won in 2017. Since then, the city has become a hotspot for fantastic independents – particularly in the food scene – and has a fantastic arts and theater scene.
