Young woman taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after minibus crash

A young woman has suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on an A road in Wiltshire.

A minibus and a Land Rover collided on the A345 near Pewsey at around 4.45pm on Wednesday 5 June.

Officers responded to calls in the Newton area and closed the road for several hours.

Paramedics took a young passenger from the van to Southampton Hospital, where she remains in a life-threatening condition.

Motorists have been asked to avoid the area and seek alternative routes while police investigate the crash scene.

The road reopened the following morning (Thursday, June 6).

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the A345, Enford.

“If you saw what happened or have dash cam footage please contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 232 of yesterday, June 5.
