The Bookseller – News – Bradford Literature Festival unveils new partnership with Network Rail

Bradford Literature Festival today announced a new partnership with Network Rail to coincide with the event’s 10th anniversary.

The festival, which starts on June 28 and runs until July 7, will be advertised on billboards in nine railway stations across the UK.

The stations, which include five stations in London, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street and Leeds, will feature posters and “prominent festival branding”.

This year’s Bradford Literature Festival will offer 500 events over 10 days, with speakers including comedians Ruby Wax and Sara Pascoe, writer and broadcaster Lemn Sissay, actor Miriam Margoyles and historian Mary Beard.

Peter Hendy, chairman of Network Rail, said: “By bringing the festival’s branding to major national stations, we aim to celebrate this milestone and encourage more people to engage with literature and culture.”

Syima Aslam, artistic director of Bradford Literature Festival, said: “(This is) a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness and invite more people to join us in Bradford this month. We are very indebted to Network Rail for recognizing the importance of our diverse festival and helping us spread the word.”

The Bradford Literature Festival is now in its 10th year. Tickets start from £5 and can be purchased from www.bradfordlitfest.co.uk.
