Former Coventry City and Cheltenham Town prospects to join Bishop’s Cleeve for pre-season

Former Cheltenham Town and Coventry City prospect Aaron Evans-Harriott is set to join Bishop’s Cleeve for pre-season with a view to signing for the Southern League Division One South club.

The winger left Cheltenham to join Coventry for a fee in February 2020 after impressing in the Robins’ youth set-up.

He played against West Ham United Under-21s in the EFL Trophy to become Cheltenham’s youngest player in the EFL era at the time, aged 17 and 22 days.

Evans-Harriott, who has represented Wales at Under-15 level, did not make a senior appearance for Coventry but has proved his under-23 side to continue his development.

He signed for Evesham United at the start of the 2022/23 campaign, but his time at the Jubilee Stadium was hampered by injury and he spent time at Fairford Town in the Hellenic League Premier Division before joining Evesham.

The 21-year-old will now have the chance to impress Cleeve boss Paul Collicutt ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Cleeve play Cheltenham in a pre-season friendly on Friday July 5 at Kayte Lane, with Evans-Harriott likely to be involved against his old club.
