Brighton will rekindle interest in Dewsbury-Hall

Brighton are tracking Leicester City man Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to Jack Rosser.

Leicester City are preparing for life back in the Premier League after winning the championship last time out.

The Foxes always looked likely to win the league, but at times they made things more difficult than they needed to be.

Their team was a cut above the second tier and one player who stood out massively was Dewsbury-Hall. The 25-year-old made 44 league appearances, scoring 12 and assisting 14 goals during the 2023/24 campaign.

His performances have sparked interest from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, with Brighton also keen on the Englishman last year.

However, he remained at the King Power Stadium, but now it seems that he will be the subject of interest again. The Seagulls are said to be keen on him as the summer window gets into full swing.

A tough fight ahead

The 25-year-old is an extremely talented player. He can play a number of different roles in midfield but is yet to do so consistently in the Premier League.

In 59 top-flight outings so far over two seasons, Dewsbury-Hall has just three goals and four assists.

He is obviously more developed now than he was then and is expected to start next season.

Brighton are unlikely to be the only side monitoring this situation and several established top clubs circling could make it difficult for Leicester City to hold on to him.

A period of transition

Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca recently left for Chelsea. The Foxes are now without a manager as they prepare for life back in the First Division.

Reports suggest they have held talks with former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper, but until an appointment is made official it is hard to predict which direction the club will go next season.

Cooper has Premier League experience and was thoroughly enjoyed at The City Ground. However, he is a very different type of coach to Maresca and that could again mean it takes some time for the team to adapt to his methods.

However, the pool of players currently available at Leicester City is very different to the ones he had at Nottingham Forest and it would be interesting to see how his style adapts should he be given the job.
