Live: Police surround Bristol Park after caravans and vehicles set up camp

Avon and Somerset Police attended an ongoing incident at Eastville Park today (Friday, June 7). Around 15 vans were spotted parked outside the park on Fishponds Road.

It happens when a number of caravans and other vehicles arrived at the park sometime overnight. It is understood to be the same group as those on Horfield Common yesterday (Thursday) and the Ladies Mile on The Downs on Wednesday.

Bristol City Council said it used “police powers to remove an encampment” from Horfield Common because of evidence of anti-social behaviour. The council confirmed today that police are working to remove the group of vehicles from Eastville Park.
