The victim was attacked in his own home by two armed burglars during the burglary

A man was attacked in his home after men armed with tools broke in. the violent break-in happened at a property in Troon, near Camborne, yesterday afternoon (Thursday June 6).

Police were called to Newton Road at around 2pm following reports of an aggravated burglary. It was reported that two people entered a property and assaulted the resident before fleeing.




It is believed that the two attackers ended up leaving the victim’s home empty-handed. The victim was not seriously injured, Devon and Cornwall Police say.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called at around 2pm on Thursday June 6 to reports of an aggravated burglary in Newton Road, Troon. It was reported that two suspects entered a property armed with tools and attacked the occupant before leaving. empty handed.

“He is not believed to have sustained significant injuries. Investigations in this case are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or visit our website with crime reference 50240137908.”
