Graham Potter is becoming the Premier League side’s number one target after holding talks with the former Chelsea boss’ agent.

TalkSPORT understands Leicester are preparing a bold move to appoint Graham Potter as their next manager.

Potter has been unemployed since April 2023 after being sacked by Chelsea just seven months after joining from Brighton.

Leicester are looking for a new boss to replace Enzo Maresca, who moved to Stamford Bridge after just one year at the Midlands outfit.

And Potter has emerged as a contender for the Foxes, with director Jon Rudkin pushing to agree terms with the 49-year-old.

Leicester are believed to have spoken to Potter’s long-term agent John Morris.

However, it is understood they may not have the funds to bring Potter to the King Power Stadium this summer.

Potter previously rejected a move to Dutch giants Ajax and was seen as a “real contender” for the Manchester United job.

He and United’s new sporting director, Dan Ashworth, worked together successfully at Brighton.

A move to Leicester would also give him the opportunity to work in the Premier League again following their promotion.

They won the league title under Maresca to seal an instant return to the top flight.

talkSPORT understands Leicester have held initial talks with former Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper.

The club announced on Friday that club legend Jamie Vardy has signed a new one-year contract.

Former Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce admits he would be open to the vacant Leicester City manager’s job following Enzo Maresca’s departure to Chelsea.

The Foxes also said they were saying goodbye to three senior players, notably Marc Albrighton, who is leaving after a decade.

Kelechi Iheanacho and Dennis Praet also leave at the end of their contracts, with Leicester in talks with Wilfred Ndidi over his future.
