Gilbert did not stop, and state police followed the Cavalier and pulled it over, according to an arrest report. Gilbert displayed “pinpoint pupils,” appeared disoriented and refused to take a field sobriety test, according to an arrest report.

However, he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, evading responsibility and failure to yield for an emergency vehicle on a highway.

He was held overnight on bonds totaling $105,000 and was scheduled to appear Friday in Hartford Superior Court, state police said.
