On arrival at Fistral Beach, Prince William went for a more relaxed business casual look. The member of the British royal family decided to ditch the sports coat and roll up his shirt sleeves to walk on the sand. Later, Prince William played a game of beach volleyball with the children who were present during his visit.

The Prince of Wales’ visit to Fistral Beach was an official royal engagement to meet representatives of local organizations working to promote safety in the sea and across the beach ahead of the busy summer months. Along with his visit to Fistral Beach, Prince William’s time in Nansledan involved a project the royal has been working on.

Nansledan is the site of the Duchy of Cornwall’s first innovative housing project to help tackle homelessness. The project is to be delivered in conjunction with the Cornish St charity. Petrocs. The effort will provide 24 fully supported homes for local people experiencing homelessness.

Throughout 2024, Prince William has kept up a string of royal appearances. Last February, the Prince of Wales attended the BAFTA Awards in a blue velvet blazer. In addition to royal duties, Prince William has also been looking after his family, with son Prince Louis turning six in April and daughter Princess Charlotte celebrating her ninth birthday on May 2. Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, has undergone treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
