Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford caught speeding in his Rolls-Royce

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford is a true motoring enthusiast and owns many luxury cars. He seems to like being in the fast lane. Rashford was reportedly caught speeding in a Rolls-Royce on the M60 last December. He was driving the Cullinan Blue Shadow, which costs around £560,000. According to a report by The Sun, Rashford broke the speed limit on the motorway, going over 70mph. He later admitted the offense of speeding through a single court proceeding.

The report claimed that Marcus Rashford will be sentenced at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on September 27. His club Manchester United and Greater Manchester Police have not yet released any details about the case.

The incident came just two months after Rashford was involved in a low-speed crash outside the Carrington training ground.

Rashford is reportedly going home after a Premier League win against Burnley. He was driving another Rolls-Royce, a £700,000 Black Badge Wraith, which was damaged in the collision. The Manchester United star and the driver of the other vehicle, however, were unhurt.

A club spokesperson later shared details of the accident, which took place on September 27. He said: “Marcus is fine and was not hurt. It was an accidental collision as he left the training ground after returning from Burnley. There was one incident involving his car and one driven by a member of the public. Fortunately, both were unhurt and no ambulance was required,” the Mirror said.

A source close to the media also revealed that Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was also present outside the Carrington training ground at the time. “Bruno stopped because he saw his teammate and was obviously concerned for him and the female driver. So he made sure they were both fine and could leave the place without any problems,” the person told the Mirror.

Marcus Rashford has had a sub-par season. Manchester United might have won the FA Cup, but their performance in the Premier League was quite disappointing. The Red Devils managed just 18 wins all season and finished eighth in the league table. Rashford made 33 appearances in the Premier League and could only score seven goals. He was also withdrawn from England’s preliminary squad for Euro 2024.
