The map shows the cheapest place to buy a house in Bristol and North East Somerset | Bristol Live

The BS23 postcode area is the cheapest place to buy a house in the Bristol region. Houses in the area – which covers Uphill and Weston-super-Mare – sold for £229,990 each on average in the 12 months to the end of April.

This is according to BristolLive’s exclusive analysis of the latest price paid data from the Land Registry. This is the lowest average sales price of any zip code area in our region.




The BS22 postcode area – which covers Kewstoke, Weston-super-Mare and Worle – is next, with an average selling price of £281,961. It was followed by BS11 (Avonmouth and Shirehampton) with an average of £282,693 and BS13 (Bedminster Down, Bishopsworth, Hartcliffe and Withywood) with an average of £284,885.

At the other end of the scale is the BS9 postcode area. Homes there – covering Coombe Dingle, Sneyd Park, Stoke Bishop, Westbury on Trym, Henleaze and Bristol – sold for an average of £621,631 each in the year to the end of April. GL9 – Badminton – is next, averaging £608,643, although that’s based on just seven sales.

It was followed by BS40 (Chew Valley, Chew Magna, Chew Stoke and Wrington) with an average of £590,375, BS41 (Long Ashton) with an average of £585,434 and BS6 (Redland, Montpelier and Westbury Park) with an average. of £561,945.

Middlesbrough is the cheapest place to buy a house in England and Wales. Houses in the TS1 postcode area, which covers the city centre, sold for an average of £69,157 each in the 12 months to the end of April.
