Leicester announce Iheanacho’s departure, in talks with Ndidi over new contract

Leicester City have announced the departure of Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

Iheanacho is leaving the Foxes after seven years.

The 27-year-old’s contract will expire at the end of this month.

The Nigerian joined Leicester City from Manchester City in 2017.

Iheanacho has scored 61 goals for Leicester, including the winner against his former club in the FA Community Shield final at Wembley in August 2021.

The Foxes have also announced they are in talks with compatriot Wilfred Ndidi over a new contract.

Ndidi’s current contract will expire at the end of the month.
