Cody Bradford could start throwing long soon – MLB News

1 minute agoTexas Rangers left-hander Cody Bradford (back, rib) said Wednesday that he started throwing from about 120 feet and emphasized that he feels like he’s recovering much better than he was before his last stop. It should start pouring soon. Bradford initially landed on the injured list with a back strain after being unable to throw a bullpen session between starts. The original plan was for him to miss the minimum 15 days on IL, but doctors found a “very small” stress fracture in the 12th rib on his right side, according to manager Bruce Bochy. There’s still no firm timetable for his return, but Bradford believes he’s on track to return to the mound. The 26-year-old southpaw went 3-0 with a 1.40 ERA in his first three starts and had been the team’s top starter.Keith Hernandez – RotoBaller
