Missing Michael Mosley: What we know so far, search continues in ‘danger zone’

The search for TV doctor Michael Mosley has continued into a fourth day after the TV doctor went missing on the Greek island of Symi.

The 67-year-old has been missing since he went hiking on Wednesday, June 6. He left at around 1.30pm and his wife Dr Clare Bailey, 62, raised the alarm when he did not return by 7.30pm.

Mr Mosley was seen on CCTV near a gray stone house near a harbor on the island. A second piece of CCTV footage from a nearby location showed a man wearing the same clothes and carrying the same umbrella at 1.50pm in the nearby village of Pedi.

Earlier, the island’s mayor vowed to continue the search until Dr. Mosley was found. He said Dr Mosley’s four children have now arrived on the island and are set to join the search for the missing TV doctor. In their efforts to locate Dr Mosley, firefighters deployed a drone as they navigated the intense heat in a mountainous region.

The top of the hill, which lies between Pedi Bay and Agia Marina, and is suspected to be part of Dr. Mosley’s route, affords neither path nor shade. A yellow weather alert for high temperatures is currently in effect for the area.

Our partner website Mirror Online reports that the official leading the search, Manolis Tsimpoukas, said the operation had shifted its focus to a “very dangerous” area. Dr Mosley’s wife refuses to give up hope as friends and family join her in the search.
