New York State girls meet day two results

Pine Bush senior Madison Williams left the New York State Federation track and field championships in Cicero with plenty of medals.

After Friday’s Division I (large school) public schools victories in the long and triple jumps, she added Federation gold in the long jump and silver in the triple jump on Saturday. The length was 19 feet, 8 inches, the third-best jump in Section 9 history. Her triple jump on Friday was 41-9 ¼, breaking her own section mark.

Warwick senior Lily Beattie cleared 11-9 to win the Federation and Division I pole vault Friday.

Marlboro senior Juliana Juras followed Friday’s Div. II victory in the discus (135-11) with a silver in the Fed event (127-6). In Div. Throw II, won the bronze (38-9 ½).

Minisink Valley high jumper Ella Michelitch took silver for the Div. Me and Fed (5-7).

Our Lady of Lourdes senior Alexandria North captured the Div. II 400-meter race in 56.03 seconds on Friday. On Saturday, she took second in the 200 meters (25.38).

Kingston junior Daniella Johnson took second in the Div. I threw (38-10 ½).

Burke Catholic sophomore Isabella Filosa saw a huge improvement in the pentathlon – her 2,942 points earned silver in the Div. II.

Cornwall senior Caigan Leonard placed third in the Fed 400 hurdles (62.57) with Monroe-Woodbury junior Emeline Clark fourth, a day after the latter took silver (62.10) in the same event .

Cornwall’s 1,600 relay of Madeline Larkin, Leonard, Lia Mellon and Kristina Garcia won Fed bronze (3:58.80).

The federation includes the New York Public Schools Athletic Association, the New York Public Schools Athletic League, the Catholic High School Athletic Association, and the Independent Schools Association.
