Sky Blues has achieved the status of excellence in the family

COVENTRY City is one of a record number of EFL clubs to have achieved Family Excellence status.

In 2023/24, over one million junior supporters enjoyed a live matchday experience at an EFL League One or League Two Sky Bet Championship game.

This figure has been achieved for the third consecutive season – the EFL Family Excellence Scheme has seen 68 clubs receive either gold, silver or bronze.

The Sky Blues have once again received the award in recognition of the experience they provide to young supporters.

The scheme assesses the family experience provided by clubs and rewards them with Gold, Silver and Bronze status for the quality of their matchday experience across a range of touchpoints, including ticketing, matchday entertainment, accessibility, facilities and communications.

EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch said: “Attendance at the EFL is at an all time high these days and it’s really encouraging to see more than one million junior supporters attend an EFL match for the third season at row, highlighting the extraordinary work they do. EFL clubs to encourage youngsters through turnstiles.”

Coventry City was awarded bronze status.
