Boy, 6, hospitalized following Wednesday’s pedestrian accident in Manchester

Local police are investigating last week’s pedestrian accident in Manchester that left a child hospitalized.

Police say officers were called to O’Malley Street in Elmwood Gardens shortly before 7 p.m. to find a six-year-old boy with serious injuries.

The six-year-old boy was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Hospital officials say he will recover. Manchester Police say the driver remained at the scene of the crash and cooperated with officers.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
