Coventry Hospital Radio has had a major refurbishment

COVENTRY hospital radio is back up and running after a major studio refurbishment.

The station stopped producing live programming a week before the work was due to take place to allow a new mixing desk to be installed in the studios as well as new equipment.

PR officer Simon Tidmarsh said: “It’s fantastic to be back on the air in our refurbished studio.

“It follows several years of fundraising and donations from the public. On top of that, with the Covid pandemic in the middle of our fundraising events.

“This has really made a huge difference to our team of volunteers, they now have a truly professional working environment in which to broadcast to our listeners.”

The station broadcasts to University Hospital staff and patients for free and can be heard online on their website or app.

Coventry Hospital Radio is always keen to hear from people who want to get involved in its voluntary work. Full training is provided for those who want to get involved in broadcasting.
