Up to 2,000 people descend on India v Pakistan Fan Park Birmingham

Asked what brought her to Edgbaston, India supporter Satti Hayre, from Birmingham, said it was “just the atmosphere, really”.

The Harborne resident, who came with friends and family, explained: “I mean you know what it’s like when India play Pakistan. It’s always more than a match.

“So yeah, (it’s) just a lot of people having fun … The previous games when they went head-to-head, we don’t really miss any of them.

“But it’s brilliant, obviously, just to watch it on the big screen in the fan park, which to be fair I’ve never done before.”
