Tottenham XI vs Leicester: Son down

Antonio Conte has left Heung-min Son on the Tottenham bench for today’s game against Leicester.

Son is still waiting for his first goal of the season, with Conte saying he is not “unshakable”, and he has proved as much. Therefore, Kulusevski starts in the top three.

Cristian Romero is also on the bench, while Davinson Sanchez comes in to start in the back three for the hosts against the bottom-of-the-table Foxes.

Clement Lenglet comes in at the back three for Ben Davies, while Ryan Sessegnon starts at wing-back.

Sessegnon plays on the left with Ivan Perisic on the right. Conte revealed in midweek that Emerson Royal is “a bit tired”.

“We also have Ivan Perisic who can play on the right or the left and Sessegnon is fit and in a good moment of form,” Conte said.

“For sure, maybe he’s one of the players who at the moment deserves to play, like Deki, but we’ll do it with the right time and the right patience to try to do the best for our team.”
