Leeds cyclist rushed to hospital after being hit by car near popular pub

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car near a popular pub in Leeds.

The incident happened on Mansion Lane, where the road meets the Princes Avenue junction, near Roundhay Fox, just before 10am (Thursday, May 9).




The cyclist was taken to Leeds General Infirmary. West Yorkshire Police cordoned off an area at the Mansion Lane junction.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “Yorkshire Ambulance Service received an emergency call just before 10am on Thursday morning to reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist on Princes Avenue, Roundhay, Leeds. An ambulance responded to the incident and a patient was transported. at Leeds General Infirmary”.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Emergency services are currently in attendance at a serious road traffic collision involving a car and a bicycle on Princes Avenue, Roundhay. The cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment and inquiries remain ongoing at the scene.”
