First look at Daniel Craig’s hair transformation for Knives Out 3

Knives Out 3 has begun filming ahead of next year’s release, and Benoit Blanc is sporting a new look for the film.

To mark the start of filming on Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, writer/director Rian Johnson has shared a first look at Daniel Craig’s return as the iconic detective.

In the picture, we can see that Benoit has undergone a bit of a hair transformation from the Glass Onion and now has longer hair than what we are used to.

Check it out below:

“Aaah and off we go! Today is day 1 of filming the next Benoit Blanc mystery ‘Wake Up Dead Man’ – see you on the other side,” Johnson wrote.

We knew that the third Knives Out movie would start shooting this month after the official title was revealed on May 24, 2024.

A number of exciting cast announcements followed, starting with Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny.

A new name or two followed each day after that, with Daniel Craig being joined in the new film by Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis, Daryl McCormack, Josh Brolin and Thomas Haden Church.

We imagine that’s it for the main cast for Knives Out 3, but there could always be surprises in store now that filming is officially underway.

We currently don’t know who any of the new cast members are playing or what the new case Benoit Blanc is solving entails. With the announcement of the title, it was teased that it was the detective’s “most dangerous case yet”.

Johnson also said the title gives a “little hint” of what to expect, leading many to assume the new case would have something supernatural about it.

He added: “There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and exploring that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc films.”

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be released on Netflix in 2025.
