Lockton Re poaches senior Aon/ex-Willis broker to target marine and energy expansion

Lockton Re, the reinsurance subsidiary of the global broker Locktonhas selected a senior broker from Aon Reinsurance to expand into the marine and energy reinsurance market.

Andy Wakefield will join Lockton Re as a senior broker in the marine and energy division later this year and will be based in London.

Wakefield has 34 years of experience as a marine and energy reinsurance broker. Prior to joining Lockton Re, he served on the marine executive committee at Aon Reinsurance. Wakefield began his career at Tysers and also spent time at Benfield, later Aon Benfield and Willis Re.
