General Election 2024: All candidates for Meriden and Solihull East

Candidates for the new Meriden and Solihull East constituency have been confirmed as voters are set to go to the polls. Saqib Bhatti is returning to defend the seat, formerly known as Meriden, for the Conservative Party and is being contested by four other candidates.

You can see the full list of candidates below. The constituency starts on the western edge of Coventry, comprising Berkswell, Balsall Common, Meriden, Hampton-in-Arden, Knowle, Dorridge, Marston Green and Birmingham Airport, Catherine-de-Barnes and the eastern edges of Solihull.




In its previous boundaries, the constituency was won by Mr Bhatti at the last general election in 2019, and before that it was held by Caroline Spelman, also for the Tories, since 1997.
