Bamford strike, Ampadu switch, Summerville issue and Leeds United squad tables on Daniel Farke’s agenda

Daniel Farke faces the media on Friday afternoon for his pre-match press conference. The Leeds United manager will take questions from TV, radio, print and online journalists at Thorp Arch ahead of the clash with Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.

Here’s a rundown of some of the main topics on the agenda that the boss will tackle on the training ground today.

What lessons have been learned from the first two games?

Leeds did the double over Norwich with a 4-2 aggregate score after the meetings in October and January. However, the game was not a simple one, nor was it a procession for the whites.

What lessons did Farke learn looking back on those games? How will he adjust his game plan? What weaknesses did he see in the Canaries?

How are the walking wounded?

Connor Roberts bounced back in the last game with a cameo from the bench, but it will be worth seeing what Farke has to say about the right-back’s training week. He is one of those players, absent for much of the recent pain, everyone is pinning their hopes on the play-offs.

Patrick Bamford, knee bruised after a knock, and Daniel James, core muscles, missed Saturday and fingers crossed they are back in training. Neither was ruled out for the season when Farke gave his initial predictions for them, but both spent more time on the sidelines than hoped.

A new midfield solution?

It would be fair to say that the rotations Farke has taken in the engine room in recent weeks have not had the desired effect. Did he even think, in light of all the goals conceded, to break through his central defense again?
