Woman suffered “significant injuries” after “setting herself on fire” at McDonald’s

A woman suffered “significant injuries” after “setting herself on fire” in a McDonald’s toilet in Bradford on Monday (June 10).

West Yorkshire Police attended the McDonald’s restaurant on Ingleby Road after a call was received at 3.15pm about a concern for the safety of a woman.




Following further investigations, the police went to the restaurant where a woman was then found on fire in the toilet area. The fire was extinguished and the woman was rushed to hospital, reports YorkshireLive.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police are in attendance at the McDonalds restaurant on Ingleby Road, Bradford, after a woman was found with significant injuries.

“At 3.15pm a call was received regarding a concern for the safety of a female at an undisclosed location. Upon further investigation, officers attended the restaurant where a woman was found on fire in the restroom area.
