Man charged with arson after 1am house fire

A man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life. There is a house fire in the Penkhull area of ​​Stoke-on-Trent.

The fire broke out at a property off Hunters Way, Penkhull, just after 1am on Friday 7 June. A man in his 50s was taken to hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.



Stanley Tamakloe, 59, of Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent, was charged with arson with intent to endanger life. He is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Center tomorrow, Tuesday 11 June.

In a statement, police said: “A man has been charged following a house fire in Stoke-on-Trent. Stanley Tamakloe, 59, of Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent, was charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

“It comes after officers went to an address off Hunters Way, Penkhull, just after 1am on Friday June 7 and found it well lit. Tamakloe is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Center tomorrow (Tuesday, June 11).”
