Sheffield Wednesday are ‘head of the queue’ for a transfer push as one of their key summer targets is set to return to Hillsborough if his club green-light the move, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Danny Rohl has received huge plaudits this season for leading Sheffield Wednesday to Championship safety from an almost impossible position.

The German is now looking to continue and stabilize the Owls higher up the Championship table as part two of his overall plan.

Rohl had goalkeeper James Beadle on loan from Brighton last season and wanted him back.

It is now suggested that Brighton are ‘prepared to send’ Beadle back to Hillsborough for another year if they give him the green light for an exit.

The Owls are the “head of the tail” for the goalkeeper as soon as Brighton gives the OK.

Beadle made a total of 19 Championship appearances for Sheffield Wednesday after joining and kept eight clean sheets in the process.

A return to Hillsborough would hand him the more experienced player and he will look to ensure he starts the campaign as Rohl’s No.1.
