A heatwave in the Azores that is “as hot as Spain and Portugal” will hit Britain within weeks. This was forecast by charts and climate maps revealed by Netweather TV.

On its blog, the weather service said: “There are signs that the Azores high will strengthen, as is usual towards the end of June, and throw some ridges north-east towards the British Isles, associated with the traditional pattern change from the end of June. to a stronger high and stronger western Azores on its northern flank.




“High pressure may increase across the country generally later in the week (Monday 24 June to Sunday 30 June) likely with variable southwesterlies coming into the north-west of the UK, although the east of England in particular , will remain prone to northerly winds. “

The Met Office, in its forecast for June 25 to July, predicts: “There is little sign of any one type of weather pattern dominating this period. As such, typical UK conditions are most likely with a mix of weather types. .

“All areas can be expected to see some spells of drier and sunnier weather, but there will also be showers or longer spells of rain at times. Temperatures are most likely to be close to or slightly above the climatological average.”

While warmer weather is on the way, the forecast for Coventry and Warwickshire this week shows wetter weather ahead. Thursday (June 13) will be the wettest, but showers will continue through Friday and Saturday.
