More arrests have been made as part of a murder investigation following the death of the young Nuneaton man

Police have confirmed that two more boys have been arrested in connection with the death of a young man in Nuneaton. The arrests were made by police in Nuneaton last night (June 10).

Two boys, aged 16 and 15, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. As a result, some cordons remain in place in the city.



They are now in custody, where they are to be questioned. The arrests now mean four boys have been arrested in connection with the murder investigation following the tragic death of Tom Ellis.

Two other boys, aged 14 and 15, who were also arrested on suspicion of murder, remain in custody. But the investigation is ongoing and detectives say there are still key witnesses they need to speak to, including anyone who was passing through Queens Road between 9.15pm and 9.30pm on June 8.

Chief Inspector Kris Shore, Police Commander for North Warwickshire, said: “We have made significant progress in our investigation, identifying four suspects within 72 hours and bringing them into custody.

“We have several cordons in place in Nuneaton at the moment while police searches take place. We continue to support Tom’s family and keep them informed of the latest developments.

“There are still a few key witnesses we need to speak to, so if you can help us identify them, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
