Birmingham nightclub stabbing leaves victim ‘seriously ill’ – CCTV appeal

A man has been stabbed in a Birmingham nightclub, prompting police to release images of two men they want to speak to in connection with the attack. The incident happened at a club in Lower Temple Street in the Newtown area of ​​the city shortly after 3.30pm last Sunday (May 5) over the bank holiday weekend.

The victim, aged 30, was stabbed in the leg, said to have been with a “glass bottle”. Police said he remains “seriously ill in hospital”. Now the force has released images of two men who officers would like to speak to in connection with the incident. They believe the incident was also filmed.

Launching the appeal, a West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We are releasing images of two men we want to speak to following a stabbing in Birmingham. Shortly after 3.30am on Sunday morning, a 30-year-old man was stabbed in the leg at a club in Lower Tower Street.

“He remains seriously ill in hospital and we hope that anyone who was there that night will recognize these two men. We recognize these are not the clearest images but anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat or 101 quoting crime number 20/466670/24.”
