Man Utd news LIVE: Erik ten Hag to stay on as manager after review, new contract talks now IN PLACE

Ten Hag to STAY

Manchester United have decided to keep Erik ten Hag.

More to come.

Red Devils Eze on the hunt

Manchester United are reportedly ready to step up their interest in Eberechi Eze.

Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona have also been linked with the England midfielder from Crystal Palace.

The 25-year-old is claimed to be ‘ticking a lot of boxes’ for INEOS.

But Palace will demand his £60m release clause.

And the Eagles still hope to keep some of their star flair players like Ez and Michael Olise.

I’m surprised the Heat is on me

Tom Heaton is shocked to be in Germany as England’s training goalkeeper but is ready to push Gareth Southgate’s back three until Euro 2024.

Goalkeeper no. Manchester United’s No.3 last season, Heaton, 38, was part of England’s Euro 2016 squad that saw them knocked out by Iceland.

Heaton has three England caps, two of them under Gareth Southgate. He will work alongside Jordan Pickford, Aaron Ramsdale and Dean Henderson.

Heaton said: “It feels very special. Gareth called me a few weeks ago, told me the idea and I jumped at the chance.

“To come and be a part of it, at another important championship, is an honor and a privilege. I am delighted to be here.

“It’s different, but I think it’s just another challenge for me. I came to support the guys, the goalkeepers, the guys on the field, push them in training, try to give them another perspective and support in that way.

“Of course I would like to play. I’m a footballer who wants to play football matches, but it’s not that role. It’s a different role.

“But any opportunity to come represent your country in some form. As I say, it was an amazing call and it didn’t take long for me to say yes.”

Chelsea ‘won Prem race for Olise’

Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise could be heading to Chelsea.

Manchester United and City, plus Arsenal and Liverpool, have been linked with the 22-year-old, who surprisingly missed out on a place in France’s Euro 2024 squad.

But GiveMeSport say Chelsea are set to complete a £60million deal for one of the Eagles’ many attacking starlets.

United baulk at Jarrad asking price

Manchester United are set to cool their interest in Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite if their asking price remains above £70m.

Old Trafford’s minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe does not want to spend that much on the 21-year-old England international.

United have assessed a number of cheaper options in central defense – one of their transfer options.

And Branthwaite is focused on the euro for now.

Less sprinkling magic…to avoid a Utd repeat

UEFA has implemented pitch watering rules at Euro 2024 to avoid a repeat of Manchester United’s clash with Bournemouth.

In April, a Premier League match between the two sides led to mockery on social media after fans saw a penalty area visibly filled with water at the Vitality Stadium.

Viewers described the match, which ended 2-2, as a “swimming pool”.

The incident was caused by excessive watering before the match.

But no such problems are expected in Germany this summer, as a result of the regulations put in place by Uefa.

The governing body insists that pitch watering must be announced at the pre-match meeting and distributed evenly across the pitch.
