‘Free food’ deal as Erdington’s popular The Range shop opens a new cafe

A popular homewares store in Birmingham is marking the opening of its new cafe with a ‘free’ meal offer for children. The Range at the Ravenside Retail Park in Kingsbury Road, Erdington, is opening its new Café Eighty Nine on Friday 14 June.

The store, which sells home furnishings including sofas, tables and chairs, garden furniture, cars and items such as barbecues, toys, mirrors, DIY tools, arts and crafts and more, will have a new restaurant selling ‘delicious cooked custom made”. and hot drinks made by the premium barista’.




The cafe, named after the year the retailer started trading, is offering free children’s meals, including cooked breakfasts, fish fingers & chips and sausage and chips, over the opening weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday – June 14-16 ), one per paid meal for adults.

Adult meals will include all-day English breakfasts, pizzas, burgers, curries and lasagnas and will include vegetarian options. There will also be “light bites” including salads, jacket potatoes and toast.

In addition to food, the new in-store restaurant will also feature “premium barista coffees,” including cappuccinos, lattes, espressos and mochas. Ditto ‘Costa Specialty Cold Coffee Drinks’.

The Range said the newly refurbished cafe will boast a “fresh and welcoming interior scheme with touches of green and cream stripes to give a continental feel, with comfortable seating areas and ambient lighting to provide an inviting meeting space “. He described the new cafe as offering a “village green” meeting space.
