A fire engulfs a new vape shop in Bradford on Friday morning

An early morning fire caused significant damage to a newly opened vape shop.

Around 3 a.m. Friday, crews from Bradford Fire and Emergency Services, South Simcoe Police and Simcoe County Paramedics were called to a fire at a market at 136 Holland St. E.

The North Vapes store was reportedly on fire.

Other stores in the market suffered smoke damage and crews are working to ventilate those units today.

The store had its grand opening on April 20.

North Vapes offers various brands of nicotine-based vaporizers and oils, including open pods, closed pods and disposables, plus vaping accessories.

“Not only is it a very nice store, but it’s at a very nice price,” said co-owner Mustafa Sarwary. Bradford Today last month.

BradfordToday will have more details on this developing story as they are released.
