Conor Bradley’s message to Arne Slot about his Liverpool role will interest Trent Alexander-Arnold

Conor Bradley has admitted he relishes being given the opportunity to play higher up, in a message to Arne Slot that could see him used in a number of roles.

A traditional right-back, Bradley started on the right wing for Northern Ireland this week, playing in an advanced role looking to join the attack as much as possible. The Liverpool youngster impressed, scoring twice in a win over Moldova as he once again showed his attacking flair as he did for the Reds last year.

The 2023/24 season was a standout for Bradley, making 23 appearances while adding six assists and a goal – impressing in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold when he was injured or rested.

Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, Bradley said: “Michael (Northern Ireland HC O’Neill) doesn’t tell me to go where I want, but to play with freedom and whatever you feel in the game and do what you feel. I like. playing like that, taking small positions inside and positions outside, however the game goes and works at the moment.”

Those words are sure to intrigue new head coach Slot, who will surely be looking to make the most of Bradley’s attacking abilities – looking to be more direct than Alexander-Arnold.

Interestingly, Alexander-Arnold also faces an intriguing situation as he is set to play in midfield for England at the European Championship games, while many believe his future may be in a more advanced role.
