A furious driver attacks a bike in Bristol

An investigation has been launched after a man attacked a female cyclist in Bristol. The man allegedly followed the 20-year-old on Shaldon Road after signaling her to give him space, before getting out of his vehicle and assaulting her.

Avon and Somerset Police say he hit her bike and shouted obscenities at her. Three other women came to the cyclist’s aid, and the man left in a black Land Rover Discovery.




The man is described as white, 6ft tall, aged in his 50s or early 60s, bald and with a gray beard. He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

The incident took place on Wednesday, April 10, around 11.20 am. Police are asking anyone with information about the attack to get in touch.
