Body found in search of missing man, 36 years old

A body has been found in the search for a missing man who was last seen near Glenfield Hospital. Daniel Ludkin had not been seen since early Tuesday morning (June 11).

Mr Ludkin was last seen in the Groby Road area of ​​Glenfield at around 9.05am on Tuesday. Police have appealed to the public in an attempt to trace him, saying they are extremely concerned for his welfare.

In an update this afternoon, Leicestershire Police said a body had been found in an area off Groby Road. The discovery was made at around 5.30pm yesterday evening (Wednesday, June 12).

Official identification has yet to take place, but officers said the body is believed to be that of 36-year-old Daniel. Police said Daniel’s death was not being treated as suspicious and the coroner had been informed.

A spokesman for the force added that Daniel’s family received support from specially trained officers.
