Taylor Swift performs a surprise song in a special nod to Liverpool at Anfield

Taylor Swift performed two surprise songs for her 100th Eras Tour show at Anfield tonight.

The Reputation singer, who played to a record crowd in Liverpool on Thursday June 13, treated fans to I Can See You and Cornelia Street. The American superstar performed a medley of Cornelia Street and Maroon.

Speaking about singing I Can See You, Taylor told the crowd: “The last time I was in Liverpool I was shooting a music video.” The video features actors Joey King and Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner, along with writer and musician Presley Cash, who work together in the video to free Taylor Swift from a vault.

The video features the exterior of the Cunard building on Castle Street, which will soon be home to a new Elif restaurant. I Can See You has already been part of The Eras Tour – as Taylor premiered the video to fans at a show in Kansas City and brought Taylor Lautner, Joey King and Presley Cash on stage.

Addressing the crowd earlier in the show, Taylor said: “You know, this is actually the 100th show of the Eras Tour! Absolutely, that amazes me.

“It doesn’t feel like a real statistic to me, because this was definitely exhausting, all-consuming, but the most joyous, most rewarding, most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life, this tour. That’s what I want. let me tell you and I think a lot of you are like “How are you going to celebrate your 100th show?”

“And for me, celebrating the 100th show for me means that this is the first time that I’ve recognized myself and I’ve recognized that this tour is going to end in December, like that’s it. And that feels like both far from now, but then again, it looks like we just played our first show of this tour because you made it so much fun for us that we wanted to do a hundred shows, 150 shows that we have on the whole tour and you know, I think this tour has really become my whole life.

“Like, it became, it took over everything. I think I once had hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore, because all I do when I’m not on stage is stay at home and try to think smart. mashups of acoustic songs and think about what you might want to hear and just, really, when I’m not on stage, I dream of getting back on stage with you guys.
