Exclusive: Scott Sinclair expected to stay at Bristol Rovers as Gas waits for duo

Bristol Rovers are increasingly confident Scott Sinclair will remain a gas player for 2024/25, Bristol Live understands, as he is one of three players to be out of contract and has offered him a new deal at Mem.

Sinclair is currently on holiday in Los Angeles after being in Dubai with Grant Ward and now Chesterfield left-back Lewis Gordon, but the former Gas Academy player is expected to stay for a third season in BS7, with the Rovers team due to present a pre-season report on July 1.




The 35-year-old has enjoyed a strong couple of months in the last term, virtually coming back from the brink in February, adding an energy to Rovers’ outside attack that hadn’t been there in some of Matt Taylor’s early games. possession.

Sinclair went nearly four months without a league appearance from late October to mid-February, with Taylor’s initial switch to a back-tree system not benefiting the winger, who is very much an attacking player.
